## Context

King Faisal Air Academy is a military officer academy and flight school in Riyadh. It was founded on 10 January 1968 by Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence and Aviation, and officially opened on 20 May 1970 under the patronage of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz. The college runs internal and external scholarships for other aviation-related subjects such as aeronautical engineering, accounting and law.

The Academic Wing gathers the functions directly related to, or directly supporting, the cadets' academic and educational life, including those used in their classroom training. It sits in the central core of the Academy, between the Administration Area and the Cadet Wing, so it is easy to reach from both.

The whole area is fenced and secured, with access only for authorised personnel through dedicated gates. As with the Cadet Wing, ample land has been kept free on either side for future expansion of the academic facilities.

## BIMON's scope

For One Works, BIMON developed the MEP construction design for every building and multidisciplinary coordination across all design stages. Hundreds of digital models were produced and used in design for cost control and in construction for site monitoring.

We also ran the validation process for the more than 100 buildings in the project. Checks covered the MEP discipline in the detailed design, construction and as-built phases, while inspections covered both BIM models and shop drawings.

Each verification cycle produces an updated report that keeps a record of previous checks. Each vendor receives an interactive dashboard, along with guidelines for reading reports and dashboards and clear assessment criteria.

## Results

### Data export

Each check feeds a report that updates with every cycle and can be read quickly and interactively, with filters by parameter.

### Data visualization

A dashboard for each vendor: thematic views of non-conformities, support for resolving them by priority, and model quality trends over time.

### Verification and validation report

Every check comes with a report of activities and results and an overall assessment against the Exchange Information Requirements.

### Guidelines

Guidance on how reports are built, how to read the dashboards and which criteria drive each assessment.

- 109 buildings, including residences, mosques and barracks
- Hundreds of digital models for cost control and site monitoring
- Custom BIM automation tools built on client standards
- Faster operations on large volumes of data and objects
- Fewer manual, repetitive actions
- Reliable outputs from a controlled process
