Construction Digital Twin

The site has a twin. AI reads it.

We create digital twins of the construction site and analyze them with artificial intelligence algorithms. The two lines of work are Construction AI, for progress and time and cost control, and Safety AI, for site safety.

A construction digital twin is the digital copy of the asset being built: the design BIM model, updated with the data that comes from site. Surveys, scans, photos, sensors and progress status flow into a single information base that describes what has been built and when.

On this base BIMON applies artificial intelligence algorithms. Construction AI compares what has been built with the model and the schedule and flags deviations in progress, quantities and costs. Safety AI analyzes site data to identify risk situations and support the safety coordinator.

The service builds on BIMON's site monitoring and scanning activities and on the construction models developed in the Digital Construction phase. Each setup is shaped by the project's needs: which data is available, how often, and which decisions it has to support.

It suits large sites or sites with several work fronts open, contractors that want to measure progress with objective data, and clients who ask for periodic, model-based reports on time, cost and safety.

How we work

  1. 1

    Site assessment

We review the available models, the schedule, the site data sources and the control goals of the contractor or client.

  2. 2

    Building the digital twin

We link the BIM model to the schedule and set up the flow of site data: scans, photos, progress.

  3. 3

    AI analysis

We apply the Construction AI and Safety AI algorithms and tune the alert thresholds to the project's needs.

  4. 4

    Reports and dashboards

We return the results in dashboards and periodic reports that are readable by people who do not use BIM software.

Frequently asked questions

What is a construction site digital twin?+

It is the BIM model of the asset updated with real site data, such as scans, photos and progress status. It lets you compare what has been built with the design and the schedule at any moment.

What is the difference between Construction AI and Safety AI?+

Construction AI works on progress, quantities, time and cost, comparing the site with the model and the schedule. Safety AI uses site data to identify risk situations and support whoever coordinates safety. They can be activated together or separately.

Do I need a BIM model to use the service?+

Yes, the model is the reference against which the built work is compared. If the model does not exist or is out of date, BIMON can develop or update it from design documents and site surveys.
