Coordinated models. No surprises on site.
We produce multidisciplinary BIM models of architecture, structures and MEP, coordinated and clash-free, from which we extract drawings, quantities and simulations.
BIM modeling builds the asset digitally before it is built for real. Every element carries geometry and information: materials, codes, quantities, phases. A sound model is the basis for everything else, from coordination to quantities, from simulation to the digital twin.
BIMON models every discipline: architecture, structures, mechanical, electrical and special systems. We work at the level of detail required by the phase and the information requirements, up to LOD 350 for construction. The core of the service is clash-free modeling: discipline models are federated and checked in continuous clash detection cycles, so conflicts are solved in design and not on site.
From the model we extract developed and detailed design drawings, bills of quantities, 4D/5D simulations and renderings. For the new Mexico City Airport BIMON produced the tender-stage multidisciplinary model, resolved clashes and studied the construction phases with 4D/5D simulations. For the Skurusund bridge in Sweden it digitized both the existing and the new bridge.
When the asset already exists, the model starts from a laser scan survey (Scan to BIM). When the design needs to explore many options, generative design comes in alongside.
How we work
- 1
Inputs
We collect DWG drawings, existing models, surveys and the information requirements.
- 2
Modeling
We model each discipline with templates and parametric families in line with project standards.
- 3
Coordination
We federate the models and repeat clash detection until relevant conflicts are resolved.
- 4
Outputs
We produce drawings, quantities, IFC files and 4D/5D simulations straight from the coordinated model.
Frequently asked questions
What does clash-free modeling mean?+
It means delivering federated models in which conflicts between disciplines, such as a pipe running through a beam, have been found and resolved. It comes from repeated clash detection cycles and discussion between designers. Each cycle produces a clash report and an updated model.
Which LOD does my project need?+
It depends on the phase and how the model will be used. For site coordination and MEP quantity extraction LOD 350 is common, as on Maximall Pompeii. In Italy UNI 11337 uses its own scale (LOD A-G); at European level EN 17412-1 introduces LOIN, which separates geometry, information and documentation.
Do you deliver models in open IFC format?+
Yes. When required we deliver models in IFC as well as the native format. IFC (ISO 16739) is the openBIM format that allows exchange between different software and long-term archiving.
