Project BIM Management brings the BIM method into project management. The federated model becomes the tool used to plan activities, follow discipline deliveries and track quantities and progress.
BIMON works alongside the client's project manager. We set the information delivery programme, coordinate the designers of each discipline, run coordination meetings and issue resolution, and report regularly on model status, open clashes and deviations. At the CERN Science Gateway in Geneva and at Hera's WTE plant in Trieste, the service covered project planning, management and monitoring.
On network projects with many similar structures the work scales up. For Italferr on the Red Line North of the Doha Metro, BIMON supported the management and coordination of all stations on the line.
You need it when the project involves many designers and subcontractors, when time is tight or when the client asks for documented control of the information process.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between BIM Management and Project BIM Management?+
BIM Management defines the rules and standards of the information process, often at organization level. Project BIM Management applies those rules to a specific project and runs its planning, coordination and monitoring. The two services often work together.
Does BIMON replace the client's project manager?+
No. We work alongside the project manager and project team, bringing BIM methods and tools into planning and control. Project decisions stay with the client, who gets more complete data to make them.
Which software do you use for coordination?+
We adapt to the client's environment. On The Factory, the cultural venue designed by OMA, for example, issue tracking ran on Navisworks and BIM Track. Exchanges between disciplines preferably use the open IFC format, with issues in BCF.
